About SB4U

The SB4U Private Public Sector Dialogue  is a structured inclusive discussion Platform between European and Uganda public and private sector  stakeholders that identify, prioritize, and recommend consensus and fact-based solutions to the improvement of Uganda’s Trade and Investment environment.

SB4U Platform was officially launched at the end of the first-ever Uganda-Europe Business Forum held in Kampala in March 2020. Personally, endorsed by the President of Uganda, the Platform constitutes a bilateral (EU-Uganda) public-private dialogue mechanism aimed at:

1
Strategically engaging the national government on key constraints, remedies and opportunities for sustainable and green investment,
2
Support the regular update and implementation of the Uganda-EU Road map for Improved Investment Climate whose current priority areas are skills development, access to finance and governance and corruption; additional areas will continuously be identified by the Platform stakeholders.
3
Strengthen market access, business links and partnerships for both domestic and European private sector

The objective of the SB4U Platform is to contribute to sustainable economic development of Uganda by promoting an increased level of private sector investments and trade between domestic and EU businesses. The Platform provides a joint forum and mechanism for domestic and EU private and public stakeholders to discuss priority issues, and support the implementation of concrete actions, for an improved investment climate and for private sector partnerships in Uganda.
