The third edition of the EROVO Impact Investment Workshop took place at the ONOMO Hotel, bringing together local, regional, and international investors to explore co-investment opportunities in Uganda’s burgeoning social enterprise sector. Organized by Einstein Rising and Ondernemers voor Ondernemers (OVO), with support from the European Union and the Sustainable Business for Uganda Platform (SB4U), the event aimed to enhance access to finance for social entrepreneurs.
The workshop featured success stories from entrepreneurs, spotlight presentations on venture capital and impact investment, and dynamic pitches from capital firms. Highlighted were the key learnings and strategies from significant investors in East Africa, aimed at propelling Uganda into the forefront of entrepreneurial success.
A keynote speech provided insights on accessing finance, while a panel discussion explored combining purpose and profit in investment decisions. The event concluded with innovative ventures pitching to investors passionate about generating positive social change alongside financial returns.
This invite-only event underscored the commitment to fostering a collaborative ecosystem for sustainable and impactful social enterprises in Uganda.
